What do you like about your job?

Chicago is one of the best cities to work in real estate because it is home to some of the most beautiful and diverse architecture in the world. Whether a Mies van der Rohe building or a classic vintage courtyard building or a building built in the 21st century, I want to get my hands on it! Real Estate is an investment that I understand and feel passionate about. When driving in the car with my daughters, I point out all the buildings that I have managed over and over and over again. Kids love hearing about parapet wall rebuilds, steam boilers, and water infiltration.

What phobia(s) do you have and how do you manage it?

I am terrified of heights – anything above a second floor. For work I often have to go on roofs to check on the condition or confirm some work has been completed. I don’t allow myself the option to not go on a roof but I always make sure to never get close to the edge. I am also terrified of clowns and anyone that attended that kid’s party in the early 2000s on the north side of Chicago knows what happened – nothing more to say about that.
